LYON players have violently attacked on the pitch by angry Bastia fans in Corsica.
Footage gathered so far shows former Man United star Memphis Depay arguing with a local ultra, before a tide of Bastia fans swarm onto the playing field to attack the Lyon team.
It is not known why the fan invaded the pitch or if the Dutchman had said anything to provoke him during the warm-up.
Some Lyon players, including the goalkeeper, were filmed trying to defend themselves by kicking the Bastia fans, while the rest ran for the dressing room as quickly as possible.
Another shocking clip showed a Bastia STEWARD attacking Lyon defender Mouctar Diakhaby.
Depay and his team-mates initially refused to play after the incident, but the match has now got underway after security got things under control.
But the match was interrupted again at half time after a fan squared up to goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.
The shocking scenes are the second time in four days that a Lyon match has been marred by violence and a pitch invasion.
Fans of the French side fled onto the pitch during their Europa League quarter-final against Besiktas on Thursday after Turkish fans in the upper tier threw flares.
The match was also marred by fighting in the stands between the two sets of supporters with Uefa subsequently opening disciplinary proceedings against both clubs.
