BEFORE the Chelsea game some said Manchester United’s tactics were negative in how they line up, but I disagree.

How many teams have played two up front — in this case Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard — against Chelsea this season? Not many.

Questions have been asked about him and his team but he has proven once again that he is one of the best tacticians in the Premier League.

United made Chelsea look second best — some feat considering the season Antonio Conte’s side have had.

VINNY’S STILL GOT IT

IT was great to see Vincent Kompany back on the pitch and leading Manchester City by command.

His goal celebration was a big release of frustration because of his spate of injuries.

Kompany is only 31 and if he can stay fit he is still one of the best centre-backs around.

He could have a great  partnership with John Stones moving forward.

RUTHLESS TOFFEES

RONALD KOEMAN’S Everton side have proven very efficient in front of goal.

They swept Hull (4-0) and Burnley (3-1) aside recently by putting their chances away.

Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley have been getting all the headlines but it’s been a team effort in attack.

FULL-BACKS EARN SPURS

TOTTENHAM’S full-backs play a huge part in their plan. They provide   width, dragging opposition full-backs out of position.

This allows their attacking players to stay narrow and cause damage — like they did in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth.

Danny Rose and Kyle Walker are first choice but Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies are fantastic understudies.

GIVE SIMON SOME CREDIT

SIMON MIGNOLET has  produced huge saves recently to secure wins for Liverpool over West Brom and Stoke.

The Belgian goalkeeper has had stick in the past but credit where credit is due.

It’s down to Mignolet they have collected maximum points in their last two games and not just one or even none.
