West Brom could seriously test Watford's resolve with a bid in excess of £20million for Deeney, who has hit 10 Premier League goals this term.

Pulis is a fan of Deeney's flexibility, the Brummie can operate as a main striker or in the deeper number 10 role.

Despite enjoying an excellent season, the Baggies lack of goals will be a concern for Pulis looking ahead to next season.

His main forwards Saloman Rondon and Hal-Robson Kanu have notched just nine Premier League goals between them.
