Brighton players celebrate clinching promotion to the Premier League by crowd-surfing on train to the city centre

OLIVER NORWOOD led the celebrations for Brighton & Hove Albion as the Seagulls clinched promotion to the Premier League.

The 26-year-old took his opportunity with both hands as he crowd-surfed on the train as the players made their way to the city centre.

The result culminated in a handful of the squad to carry on celebrating off the pitch, as stars such as Sam Baldock, Jamie Murphy, Jiri Skalak and Norwood partied with the fans.

Not only did they board a train with their endearing supporters - where Norwood crowd-surfed on a packed train, but they cheered and sang at Brighton train station and down the main road by the city centre.

Skalak, signed from Czech Republic side FK Mlads Boleslav in February 2016, was even carried down the road by jubilant Brighton fans.

However according to Juice Brighton, the players ended up giving the supporters the slip by the clock tower, and went off on their own.

The win against the Latics has sparked jubilant scenes, as after a 34-year exile away from the England's top tier, Brighton are finally back in the big time.
