Cherries boss Eddie Howe will look to shore up his back line next season, with the South Coast side conceding 63 Premier League goals this term.

Begovic, 29, was on the verge of joining Bournemouth in January but the move fell through as Premier League leaders Chelsea failed to sign a replacement.

Howe will revive his interest in the Bosnian keeper, who is looking to leave West London for regular football.

Bournemouth are virtually guaranteed a third season in the top-flight following their 4-0 hammering of Middlesbrough, but Howe knows he needs to freshen up his squad.
