ARSENE WENGER has issued a "hands off" warning to Marseille over Olivier Giroud - even though the Arsenal boss has not revealed his own future.
The Gunners manager wants the Frenchman to stay at the club, despite the fact that Giroud has mostly been deployed as a bit-part player.
That's despite the fact that he has consistently hit over 20 goals a season for the club, even this year.
But Wenger poured cold water on rumours linking Giroud, 30, before Arsenal's crunch Premier League match with Leicester.
The Ligue 1 club after the club were taken over by American businessman Frank McCourt and have renewed ambitions of becoming a powerhouse club.
According to reports, Marseille want to add up to FIVE new players in the summer, with Laurent Koscielny also mooted as a transfer target.
They are apparently ready to spend £20million on Giroud.
Wenger said: "I have had no approach from Marseille. We want to keep Giroud."
Otherwise, Wenger also confirmed there are no updates on his own Arsenal future, despite the end of the season looming and transfer business to be conducted over the summer.

There has been speculation all season that the Frenchman could leave the club after another humiliating exit from the Champions League, with the club also off the pace in the chase for the top four.
Wenger added: "It looks like we have to win every single game to finish top four. That has to the target.
"We have to transfer the energy levels we showed on Sunday to the Premier League.
"It's open, but what it demands is a consistency in results between now and the end of the season.
"It is still possible but we need a perfect run-in."
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also faces a fitness test today after leaving Wembley on crutches on Sunday with a foot injury.
But if yesterday's evidence of him playing crazy golf with girlfriend Perrie Edwards is anything to go by the winger should be fit and available.
