Edinson Cavani rules out Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea interest by signing new Paris Saint-Germain deal
Uruguay striker will be in Ligue 1 till 2020 after pledging his future to the French champions
EDINSON CAVANI has ruled out interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea by signing a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Uruguay striker has agreed terms until 2020 with the Ligue 1 champions.
Cavani has excelled this season since former strike partner Zlatan Ibrahimovic moved to Old Trafford.
He has bagged 31 goals in France's top flight and scored another eight in the Champions League with five more in domestic cups for good measure.
SunSport told you back in January how Cavani was willing to pledge his future to the club.
And this deal is proof that PSG bosses see him as their No 1 hitman ahead of next season's assault on Europe.
Cavani said: "I am very happy to extend my contract and my commitment to Paris Saint-Germain.
"As I have always stated, it was always my clear intention to continue playing for Paris, its supporters and all the staff at the club to make it one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"I am convinced that the club has the potential to attain all its objectives.
"Together, we will be more and more ambitious in the coming seasons."
