Manchester City keeper Claudio Bravo slammed by Manchester United legend Gary Neville after going off on a stretcher because of injury
CLAUDIO BRAVO was slammed by Manchester United legend Gary Neville after being carried off on a stretcher in the 0-0 Manchester derby draw.
It was an injury that seemed to sum up the Chilean's first season at the Etihad.
In what should be one of a goalkeeper's most simple tasks, he came to collect a corner unchallenged when the setback occurred.
After claiming the ball, he appeared to grimace in pain as he strode forward to kick it upfield - it was his calf that appeared to be the problem, and he felt he was unable to continue as he dropped to the turf.
But Neville, who who was on co-commentary with Sky Sports, was not impressed.
He said: "A stretcher for a calf strain... please. Oh come on.
"He'd not done anything for 20, 25 minutes, he'd not been involved and then he's leaped with his left leg for that catch from the last corner.
"I'm not quite sure why there's a stretcher on. It's a calf strain. Am I missing something? You don't need a stretcher on for a calf strain. Please.
"He kicked the ball forward after that. Come on. I apologise if he hasn't got a calf strain."

Youngster Angus Gunn, an England Under-21 international, is the most likely to be called up into the first-team squad to act as No2 for the remainder of the campaign.
Bravo has been much-maligned since replacing Joe Hart at City last summer after making a number of high-profile mistakes.
