Sergio Ramos gave El Clasico referee Real Madrid shirt BEFORE being sent off by him against Barcelona
Spanish media confirm defender handed official gift pack with a hand-written note prior to explosive La Liga clash
IT’S five days since Lionel Messi’s wonder goal sealed Barcelona’s victory at Real Madrid, but stories from the El Clasico are still emerging.
And the latest one concerning Sergio Ramos is certainly an eyebrow-raiser.
The Madrid defender gave referee Hernandez Hernandez official club merchandise BEFORE kick off at the Bernabeu.
But that was not all, the Spaniard also included a special HAND-WRITTEN NOTE along with his gifts.
If Ramos’ kind gesture was an act of bribery or an attempt to influence the official then his scheme did not quite pan out as expected.
The 31-year-old received the 22nd red card of his career during the match after a foul on Messi.

And it has now emerged that his act of kindness was genuinely very innocent.
It has been confirmed that he gave the ref a Real Madrid.
However, the gift was not actually for the whistle-blower, in fact it was Juan Carlos Albuxech – owner of the Lanzorate based Hotel Sans Beach.
And Hernandez was only asked to be the messenger.
Last Sunday’s result saw Barcelona leapfrog their opponents into top spot on goal difference with the current leaders ahead on goal difference.
Madrid still have their title hopes in their own hands, having played a game less, and can claim the glory by winning their last five matches.
