Jose Mourinho worried David De Gea will return to Spain this summer but tells the Real Madrid target to stay focused on Man Utd until further talks
Old Trafford boss hopes to shrug off speculation over the Spanish No 1 but has already held initial discussions
JOSE MOURINHO fears he will lose David De Gea in the summer.
The Manchester United boss has had talks with the talented Spanish stopper, 26.
And he has asked the Real Madrid target for 100 per cent until the end of the season when they will sit down and talk about his future.
But Mourinho reckons De Gea has his heart set on finally seeing through a move back to his homeland.
He was close to returning to Madrid in August 2015 only for the planned transfer to Real to collapse at the last minute of deadline day due to a fax machine problem.
De Gea agreed to a new five-year contract at Old Trafford when that collapsed. But the prospect of going to the Bernabeu has not gone away and Real coach Zinedine Zidane wants him.
De Gea’s long-term partner Edurne Garcia, a singer and TV presenter, also still lives in the Spanish capital.

The United No 1 made his name at Atletico Madrid before moving to England for £17.8million in 2011.
After a difficult start in Manchester, he has since grown into one of the top keepers in the world rated at £50m.
Asked about the speculation surrounding De Gea, Mourinho said: “I’m not interested in the speculation.
“If the player is, he shouldn’t be because we are playing very important teams and every match is crucial.”
