Sulley Muntari SUSPENDED for one match for storming off pitch after receiving racist abuse from a child

Pescara midfielder was booked after complaining to referee about abuse and will now serve ban for leaving his team short

SULLEY MUNTARI has been suspended for one game for walking off the pitch after receiving racist abuse from a CHILD.

The Pescara star complained to the ref when a section of Cagliari fans, including a youngster and his parents, chanted numerous racist slurs in his direction.

However, Muntari was booked for his actions, prompting the ex-Portsmouth midfielder to storm off the pitch in disgust.

And the Disciplinary Commission has now upheld Muntari’s yellow, meaning he will miss the next game against Crotone.

But to rub salt in the wounds, Cagliari will NOT be punished for the racist chants because only 10 people were deemed to be taking part.

It’s also been said that the chants were only audible because the rest of Cagliari’s fans were partaking in a silent protest.

But Inter Milan and Lazio have been hit with suspended bans following their games against Napoli and Roma respectively.
