And Cherries' boss Eddie Howe admitted last week that sort of form will attract interest from top clubs after his form helped keep the club in the top flight for another season.

He said: "I’m sure there’s people taking notice and writing his name down. His form has been very good."

King, 25, who possesses blistering pace, began his career at Manchester United and had a number of loan spells with the likes of Preston and Borussia Monchengladbach.

He played for Blackburn where we was not nearly as prolific as he is now, before moving to the south coast in 2015 where he has shone ever since.

King is under contract at the Cherries until 2020 and could fetch a fee of at least £15million.

Spurs have had a super season as title challengers, but only have the on-off Vincent Janssen as backup while Kane has been injured at various points this year.

So boss Mauricio Pochettino will want to add more depth to his squad in the summer to try and win that first Premier League trophy next season.
