AC Milan to fight Chelsea and Manchester United for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata
It has been a disastrous return to La Liga for the striker after a winning back-to-back Serie A titles with Juventus and a summer Bernabeu exit looks certain
AC MILAN will battle it out with Chelsea and Manchester United for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
The Spanish international returned to the Bernabeu last summer, when Real exercised a buy-back clause inserted into the deal that took Morata to Juventus in 2014.
It was thought Los Blancos would sell the striker on last summer for a huge profit, but Morata stayed on to fight for his place.
Morata did not feature in the 3-0 Champions League semi-final win against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Now a summer exit now looks on the cards, with AC Milan, ready to flex their financial muscles with a marquee signing following the recent Chinese takeover.
Despite only starting 17 games, Morata has scored an impressive 20 goals, but will want to be the main man after playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema all season.
According to, Milan sporting director Massimo Mirabelli is in Spain to tie up a deal for Villarreal defender Mateo Mussachio.

Mussachio will also try to make contact with Morata's agent about a return to Italy to spearhead the Rossoneri title challenge next season.
Real Madrid will demand a huge fee, and with interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, will hope to spark a bidding war for the 24-year-old hitman.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte signed Morata at Juventus in 2014, retains a firm interest after trying to take him to west London last summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are on the hunt for a new striker following the long term injury of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
