Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jan Oblak wanted by Jose Mourinho as potential replacements for David de Gea
Red Devils number one looks set to finally make his move to Real Madrid and United will not stand in his way... so a new number one is needed
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho wants one of Gianluigi Donnarumma or Jan Oblak to be the potential replacement for David de Gea.
The Red Devils number one looks set to finally make his long-awaited move to Real Madrid and United will not stand in his way - so a new number one is needed.
United of course want to keep De Gea - and why not, he's one of the world's best glovemen - but they know he wants to return to the city of his birth after six years in England.
A sweetener for United of course will be the world record fee they would receive for a keeper - in the ballpark of £60million - should De Gea return to Spain.
And they may need to use a fair chunk of that if they want to nab the duo boss Jose Mourinho is after - as they happen to be two of the world's best young goalkeepers.
Slovenian Oblak, 24, who plays for Atletico Madrid, has a whopping £85m release clause in his contract and the La Liga side have no need to sell him.

He has been in fine form to deserve that fee, having kept 20 clean sheets in 37 games for Diego Simeone's men this season.
That said, his agent was spotted in Manchester last week and preliminary talks are understood to be underway with United hierarchy.
Mourinho's other target is teenager Donnarumma, who broke into Italian giants AC Milan’s first team at the age of 16 and is still number one now aged 18.
He has just 13 months to run on his current contract at the San Siro - but unsurprisingly for a starlet of his standing, he is represented by Mino Raiola so he will ensure a huge fee is involved.
But Raiola also represents Paul Pogba, who was responsible for the most expensive transfer ever when his man moved to Old Trafford for Juventus last summer - so there is a relationship there already.
