ASHLEY YOUNG could be set to miss the rest of Manchester United’s season with a hamstring injury, according to reports.
The 31-year-old suffered the blow and was forced from the field after coming off the bench during his side’s Europa League semi-final first-leg victory over Celta Vigo.
claim that he will be assessed over the next 48 hours but the initial fear is that the damage will prevent him from playing again this month.
Former England star Young replaced Henrikh Mkhitaryan on 78 minutes of the clash in Spain.
However, just 11 minutes later he had to go off in place of Chris Smalling after stretching to block a cross inside United’s box.
It is a bitter blow to both Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho and the player, who would most likely have started the Premier League match at Arsenal on Sunday.
