West Ham offer Pablo Zabaleta incredible £100,000-a-week two-year deal to sign from Manchester City
Veteran full-back is out of contract this summer and Hammers initially went after Bacary Sagna
WEST HAM have offered Pablo Zabaleta the chance to make a new start away from Manchester City.
The veteran full-back is out of contract this summer and there has been no talk of fresh terms.
Hammers are offering a two-year, £100,000-a-week deal as boss Slaven Bilic switches attention to Zabaleta after initially making an enquiry for his City team-mate Bacary Sagna.
Zabaleta, 32, has been at City since August 2008 and told Sport360: “I’m not getting any younger and we see new players coming in for the future.
“You have to accept it, especially for this club which is so demanding in terms of trying to win trophies. I didn’t expect to be here so long.”
City are also set to show Sagna and Gael Clichy the exit, with Pep Guardiola keen on Spurs’ Kyle Walker and Danny Rose, plus Alex Sandro of Juventus.
