It means Bailly will be suspended for the final in Stockholm on May 24, leaving Jose Mourinho without one of his key defenders.

Manchester United booked their place in the final thanks to a 2-1 aggregate win over Celta Vigo in the semi-finals.

Marouane Fellaini headed them in front in the first half at Old Trafford to double the aggregate lead.

But Mourinho's men had a nervy finish when Facundo Roncaglia scored a precious away goal to set up a grandstand finale.

Former Man City striker John Guidetti had a golden opportunity to win it in injury time but missed his kick.

United breathed a sigh of relief and took their place in the final against Ajax, who beat Lyon in the other semi-final.
