Reports in Spain have claimed the left-back has passed a medical at the Bernabeu ahead of a big-money move.

He is expected to be understudy to Marcelo in Zinedine Zidane's squad after being on loan at Alaves this season.

And while for anyone else this would be an incredible move, there is one person bound to be opposed to it.

Hernandez's girlfriend is a die-hard Atletico fan and has the photos plastered all over her Instagram account to prove it.

And she uploaded a photo of her as a baby in the familiar red and white kid.

Hernandez - who has also been linked with a summer move to Liverpool - is thought to be rated at around £20million.

So while not exactly a Galactico signing, he will represent someone Real bosses see as a star for the future who they want to mould in the Bernabeu way.

And even more so considering Hernandez is just 19 years old.
