Spurs full-back Danny Rose has undergone surgery and will not be available until next season
TOTTENHAM defender Danny Rose faces a race to be fit for the start of next season, after undergoing knee surgery today.
Rose has been out since January 31 after picking up a knee injury in January, with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino hoping the defender would return before the end of the campaign.
The 26-year-old full back has been outstanding this season, and his form has cemented his place in the England team before being sidelined.
Rose had recently returned to training, and was hoping to be fit for the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

However, after 10 days of training, Rose was not totally happy with how his knee felt, so the club decided to proceed with surgery.
The exploratory procedure was straight forward, and the defender hopes to return to full fitness in time for the start of next season.
Ben Davies, who has played second fiddle to Rose since joining from Swansea, has stepped up and enjoyed an extended run in the side.
The Wales international should be in the Spurs line up for the final two games of the season, at Leicester City on Thursday, then a trip to relegated Hull on Sunday.
