Sergio Aguero and Pep Guardiola to hold Manchester City showdown talks as striker seeks assurances over his future
Argentine no longer an automatic started following arrival of Gabriel Jesus and wants to see where he stands next season
SERGIO AGUERO will reportedly hold showdown talks with Pep Guardiola over his Manchester City future.
The striker has enjoyed another goal-laden season but continues to find himself in and out of the starting XI.
Gabriel Jesus’ arrival in January has put Aguero’s Etihad future in further doubt and it’s believed he could up sticks ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
claims Aguero would prefer to stay at City but will first hold talks with Guardiola to see where he fits in plans for next season.
A front-two pairing with Jesus could be an option but it seems unlikely his boss will stray from his favoured 4-3-3 formation.
There are also murmurings that City want ANOTHER striker to boost their chances in the Premier League and Europe.
That would further restrict Aguero’s chances and could seal a shock exit this summer.
