LIVERPOOL have reportedly seen an offer of £64million knocked by Ligue 1 champions Monaco for teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe.
The 18-year-old has caught the attention of world football this season after dazzling for the French side, and it now appears that Jurgen Klopp has joined the race to lure him away.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Monaco turned down the offer for the French international who has scored 26 times in all competitions, claiming the proposed fee was too low.
In the report, it said: "The offer has been rejected by Monaco, who believe that the price tag carried by their prodigy should read a number above 100 million euros (£85m)."
The £64million offer is almost double Liverpool paid Newcastle United back in 2011 to bring in Andy Carroll on a record-breaking deal.

Only recently did Gremio president Romildo Bolzan reveal that the Premier League club have not agreed a £26million deal with striker Luan, as Klopp desperately aims to bring in a forward.
However a deal for Mbappe looks increasingly unlikely as Real Madrid are believed to be leading the race for his signature, with Arsenal also vying to sign him, while the player himself has rejected a move to Manchester United.
He recently netted his 15th Ligue 1 goal of the campaign in the 2-0 home win against St Etienne as his side clinched their first league championship since 2000, to stop PSG from winning a fifth consecutive title.
