Arsenal ‘open talks’ to sign Henry Onyekuru for £6.8million with the Nigerian striker the top scorer in Belgian football
The 19-year-old has bagged 20 goals for his side KAS Eupen, alerting the likes of West Brom, Everton and Celtic too
ARSENAL have opened talks to sign the top scorer in Belgium this season, KAS Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru.
The 19-year-old Nigerian has banged 20 goals this season, which has seen a number of European clubs on high alert.
Everton, Southampton and West Brom were all believed to be interested in signing Onyekuru, and now are reporting Arsenal have joined the race.
The Premier League interest in the red-hot striker could bring to an end Celtic's hopes of snapping him up.
And the singing of Onyekuru could represent somewhat of a coup for potential suitors.
The clinical striker has a £6.8million release clause in his contract, and has alsready turned down moves to stay in the Belgian league with Brugge and Anderlecht.

Back in April this year, SunSport reported how Everton looked to be the hot favourites to sign the promising Nigerian.
The Toffees sent scouts over the North Sea to try to close a move for Onyekuru who could fill in for long-term crock Yannick Bolasie.
Onyekuru is scoring a goal nearly every two games — despite playing wide. And he would fit right into Ronald Koeman’s plans as the Dutch boss likes exciting emerging players.
