Manchester City announce full-back Bacary Sagna’s departure after three years at the Etihad
Frenchman is fourth player to leave Premier League giants today after Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas and Willy Caballero were also shown the door
MANCHESTER CITY have announced that full-back Bacary Sagna's is to leave the club after three years at the Etihad.
The 34-year-old is almost at the end of his three-year deal, and the club announced that he will leave as boss Pep Guardiola's overhauls his full backs.
Sagna revealed he was in the dark over his future and would be happy to stay, but the club thought otherwise and have no extended his deal.
The Frenchman is fourth player to leave Premier League giants today after left-back Gael Clichy, winger Jesus Navas and goalkeeper Willy Caballero were also shown the door.
And fellow right-back Pablo Zabaleta had already been told days ago that he was also to be exiting, with the Argentine poised to sign for West Ham.
France international Sagna won the Premier League and two League Cups at City since joining from Arsenal in 2014, and played 85 games in total for the club, including 17 times this season in the Premier League.

He told City's official werbsite: "It has been a privilege to play for this football club.
"I have enjoyed every moment of my City career and will look back on my time at City fondly.
"I would like to thank the staff, players and fans for making my three years so memorable."
It means Yaya Toure is the only one of the six out-of-contract players whose future has not been decided.
It is believed he has been offered a one-year deal and will stay at the club.
Keeper Caballero was signed from Malaga in 2014 and spent most of his time as back-up to Joe Hart, before getting more of a chance this season.
Spaniard Navas spent four years at City after signing from Sevilla for £14.9m, playing 123 times in the league.
While Clichy like fellow countryman Sagna joined from Arsenal but in 2011, and was a member of the side who won the club's first ever Premier League trophy in 2012.
