AC Milan will bench Gianluigi Donnarumma unless he signs a new contract or finds a new club amid interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus and Real Madrid
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport the 18-year-old has been given an ultimatum by the Rossoneri
AC MILAN have given Gianluigi Donnarumma two choices: either sign a new contract or sit on the bench all of next season.
The 18-year-old has been in a contract stand-off with the Rossoneri hierarchy for months since breaking through as a fresh-faced youngster last season.
And according to , the club are happy to make him sit on the bench for the whole of next season.
Donnarumma is one of the most promising young players in the world and there will be no shortage of suitors for the young stopper's signature.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Juventus are all said to be keen on the teenage sensation.
And with his agent Mino Raiola, the situation seems to echo Paul Pogba's initial departure from United, when he left on a Bosman but returned for a world record fee four years later.
Donnarumma can negotiate with other clubs as of January 1 and the writing is on the wall for the No1, who has made 40 appearances for Milan this season.
Jose Mourinho has been said to be keen on the Italian, with manager Vincenzo Montella saying he is "doing everything" to keep the teenager.
He said: "The club are making enormous efforts to ensure his outstanding quality is recognised.
