The Manchester United midfielder starts his end of season break in Saudi Arabia
PAUL POGBA has started his end of season break from Manchester United with a trip to Mecca as the month of Ramadan begins.
The Saudi Arabia visit comes just three days after lifting the Europa League trophy with victory over Ajax in Stockholm.
The French international took to his instagram and posted a boomerang of himself swishing round his luggage with the caption: "On my way to go say thank you for this season. See you soon Manchester! En route to my prayers."
Along with a video the next day where the United star, dressed in white looked to be embarking on a pilgramage on the holy month of Ramadan as part of his Muslim beliefs.
The 24-year-old scored United's opening goal in the 2-0 victory over Ajax at the Friends Arena last Wednesday as the reds went on to book their place in next season’s Champions League after finishing sixth in the Premier League table.
The former Juventus midfielder now has some time off before returning to Man United for pre-season.
Manchester United have six scheduled pre-season tour fixtures to be played in the United States and Norway.
