Vinnie Jones ‘almost threw Massimo Cellino over a balcony’ after being dismissed at a Leeds United match

Former Leeds star questions whether or not former owner even knew about the history of the Whites

VINNIE JONES recalls the time he was dismissed by former Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino against Watford.

The retired hardman is a cult hero at Elland Road and took to Twitter to reveal his encounter with the Italian businessman.

It is unclear when this happened but Leeds last played Watford in February 2016, in a 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup.

The 52-year-old played a big part in Leeds' history and helped them to promotion from the English Second Division in 1990 as champions.

Jones captivated fans on the terraces at Elland Road with his work rate, desire and commitment and is still a popular figure in Leeds.

Cellino sold his remaining stake at the club to Andrea Radrizzani earlier this month.

The fan favourite has also used his Twitter account to throw his name in the hat to succeed Garry Monk.

The former Whites boss, who signed a 12 month contract last summer, resigned instead of continuing his stay at Elland Road.
