ANTOINE GRIEZMANN has confirmed he WILL snub a mega-money move to Manchester United to stay at Atletico Madrid this summer.

The French superstar will remain with the Spanish giants after they were handed a transfer ban until January 2018.

The 26-year-old revealed to  he is keen to help the club as they cannot afford to lose their star man.

He added: "It would be a blow to go now. We talked to the club and we will be back from next season.

"It's a hard time for the club, it would be a dirty move to leave now.

"The CAS sanction has been passed. I've decided to stay.

"It's been another good season and hopefully we can make some good signings in January

"It's a tough moment for the club, and for my team-mates."

Griezmann's future has been up-the-air for a number of months as United boss Jose Mourinho eyed an £86m swoop.

The ex-Chelsea chief has now moved onto new targets, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have joined the £100m race for Monaco star Kylian Mbappe, who is also attracting interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid.

And Los Blancos ace Gareth Bale is also another option being pursued, with Mourinho a long-term admirer of the Welshman.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed earlier this week that Atletico would not be able to sign any new players until 2018.

It has had a huge knock-on effect across Europe, with dozens of transfers both in and out of the club scuppered.

Diego Costa was eyeing a switch back to Spain, but that has fallen through for the time being at least.
