Louis Van Gaal could return to Ajax and scupper moves from Southampton or Crystal Palace

SOUTHAMPTON and Crystal Palace need to act fast if they want to make Louis van Gaal their next manager with Ajax offering the Dutchman a return.

The ex-Manchester United boss started his playing career at Ajax and returned as first-team manager in 1991, winning the European Cup during a six-year reign.

The 65-year-old has been unemployed since United axed him after winning the FA Cup with a side that was deemed too defensive and pedestrian.
