MANCHESTER UNITED are closing in on Monaco midfielder Fabinho in a £50million deal.
Monaco have already lost Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, with Benjamin Mendy set to join him at the Etihad.
Spanish outlet claim there has been a "remarkable advance" over the last few days on a deal to take the Brazilian to Old Trafford.

United boss Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer of the player who can operate at full-back, and his outstanding displays in the Champions League show he can play in midfield as well.
That level of versatility is music to Mourinho's ears, as part of his summer plans are to strengthen in defence and midfield.
Fabinho is keen to come to England and has spoken of his admiration for the Premier League.
Earlier this year he said: "I know my name was linked with more than one English club but I'm happy at Monaco at the moment.
United will want to wrap up the deal for the 23-year-old as quickly as possible in order not to lose out to any rivals, as they did when Manchester City pipped them late on for Silva last month.
The French champions are set to continue with their transfer policy of buying young players and then selling on to Europe's big boys.
Anderlect midfielder Youri Tielemens has joined Monaco for £21m, which could allow Chelsea to land Tiemoue Bakayoko.
