JAAP STAM is heading the list of candidates being considered as the new Ajax boss, according to reports in Holland.
Ajax produced some of the most exciting football in Europe as they reached their first continental final for 21 years.

And report that current Reading boss Stam — who ended his playing career with the Dutch capital side — is among the names being considered as a replacement.

His first club, FC Zwolle appointed him as assistant before he took over the same role at Ajax until Reading came calling in the summer.
