DIEGO COSTA and Diego Simeone struck a pact to one day work together again, according to reports in Spain.

The Chelsea striker has revealed he was told by boss Antonio Conte that he does not feature in his plans at Stamford Bridge.

Costa had previously stated he would only leave West London to re-join Atletico Madrid.

Simeone and Costa dined together at a restaurant back in November, where they allegedly came to the agreement.

The report explains that Conte was angry following his striker’s decision to post a picture of the reunion on Instagram.

And it is from there that the relationship between the pair began to deteriorate.

Costa came close to a move to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian in January — and was dropped for the 3-0 victory away at Leicester.

The 28-year-old regained his place after appearing to make up with his boss.

However, despite netting 20 goals en route to a second Premier League title in three years, Costa’s time at Chelsea seems over.

However, he cannot go back to Atletico this season, with the club unable to sign players following Fifa’s decision to uphold a transfer ban.

AC Milan are in talks with the Spaniard’s agent over a potential move.

In the summer of 2014 Chelsea loaned Fernando Torres to the Rossoneri before the move was made permanent the following January.

He was immediately loaned out to Atletico, before completing a permanent deal.

A similar scenario with Costa would see him join the Rojiblancos and not have to spend six months on the bench, which is an option he admitted is not favourable to him.
