Bristol City line up a move for Birmingham defender Ryan Shotton with Aden Flint likely to leave Ashton Gate in the summer
The 28-year-old signed for the Blues last season from fellow Sky Bet Championship rivals Derby County, but could already be on the move again
BRISTOL CITY are eyeing a move for Birmingham's Ryan Shotton - as a possible replacement for Aden Flint.
Shotton, 28, only joined Birmingham last summer and went on to make 45 appearances for the Blues, scoring twice.
Yet Lee Johnson would love to add him to his Robins ranks with key man Aden Flint likely to leave.
West Brom are keen on powerhouse Flint, while West Ham have also been credited with an interest in him.
The 6ft 5in centre-back, who used to play in non-league with Alfreton Town, has developed impressively since joining from Swindon four years ago.
Boss Johnson has already admitted he cannot give assurances to fans that the 27-year-old will still be at Ashton Gate next season.
Regardless of Flint's future, Bristol would still be very interested in adding Shotton to their squad.
But whether the ex-Stoke man would see the switch as a step forward in his career, or whether Blues chief Harry Redknapp would even be willing to let his defender go, remains to be seen.
