Emre Mor set for Liverpool loan move with Jurgen Klopp offered chance to land Turkish whizkid from former club Borussia Dortmund
Dortmund will let the 19-year-old midfielder out on loan next season following his first season in Bundesliga
JURGEN KLOPP has been offered the chance to land Turkish whizkid Emre Mor.
Borussia Dortmund will let the 19-year-old midfielder out on loan next season following his first season in Bundesliga.
Liverpool boss Klopp was tracking Danish-born Mor before he made the move from Nordsjaelland to Dortmund last summer.
The Kop boss is now weighing up a loan for the youngster with an option of a permanent deal.
Mor, who played for Turkey at the Euros last year, made the bulk of his appearances off the bench under Thomas Tuchel before the German’s departure.
The Reds are banned from signing players for their academy after admitting "tapping up" a Stoke prospect.
The ban is for two years but the second 12 months has been suspended for three years.
Klopp's side, who were also fined £100,000, said in a statement: "The club accepts the sanction."
The case involves forbidden inducements offered to a 12-year-old player, who Liverpool accept they spoke to before they should have. The club also paid for him and some of his family to go to a game at Anfield.
Liverpool also offered to pay the player's school fees, which were already being paid by Stoke, in a breach of newly introduced regulations.
