CHELSEA could make it an Everton double this summer by targeting Idrissa Gueye, according to reports.

The pair are locked in battle for striker Romelu Lukaku, who claimed this week he is in talks about leaving Goodison Park, to win trophies.

That has not stopped the Premier League champions eyeing the Senegal international, who has been outstanding for the Toffees since his summer switch from Aston Villa.

claim Blues boss Antonio Conte is looking to bolster his midfield options next season, with a title defence and Champions League campaign in mind.

The 27-year-old has been earmarked as a similar player to N'Golo Kante, or even play with the PFA Player of the Year in Conte's system next season.

Everton are holding firm, insisting the former Villa man is not available at any price.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is keen to tie Gueye down to a new improved deal at Goodison Park, to ward off any suitors this summer.

With Lukaku and Ross Barkley possibly heading for the exit, Koeman will fight to hold on to Gueye, and add to his midfield options with the Senegalese star at the club.

Meanwhile, the Blues are still battling to sign Monaco's Tiemoue Bakayoko, the French midfielder is keen to move to the Premier League, with Chelsea his preferred destination.
