The former Colchester forward is keen to stay in the Football League and has not been short on offers, just weeks after the season finished.

New Latics boss Paul Cook is a fan, but will have stiff competition from his former club Portsmouth who were promoted to League 1 as champions.

Cook laid the foundations for Pompey's interest and will hope the chance of playing in the Championship will be enough to take Massey to the DW stadium.

League One play-off final losers Bradford are also searching for additional firepower and are keen to speak to the striker and his representatives.

Massey will follow Liam Kelly, Tom Parkes and Jordan Bowery out of Orient, after they all departed on free transfers.
