Ex-Ajax boss and Holland legend Frank de Boer in shock talks to take over at Crystal Palace
Dutchman would come in for Sam Allardyce who left as boss after keeping the Eagles in the Premier League
FRANK DE BOER is in talks to become manager at Crystal Palace.
The Holland legend could become Sam Allardyce's successor after he left the role once he had kept the Eagles in the Premier League.
De Boer has held talks with Eagles chairman Steve Parish about taking on the £2 million a year job for next season.
Palace have also been linked with Fulham’s highly-rated boss Slavisa Jokanovic, Burnley’s Sean Dyche and even an rumours of showing interest in ex-QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Following his iconic playing career, which saw him play for Barcelona, the 47-year-old has gone on to manage Ajax and Inter Milan.
The star, who came through at Ajax as a player, also began his coaching career at the Amsterdam Arena as he was appointed into a role within the club's academy.
And then during the 2010 World Cup, he was Holland's assistant to manager Bert van Marwijk, as his side reached the final before losing to Spain.

De Boer then became manager of Ajax, following Martin Jol's resignation in 2010.
The former Galatasaray player was initially brought in as a caretaker boss before guiding his side to the league title in his first year in charge.
In his six years in charge of Ajax, he went on to win four Eredivisie titles, adding to the five he won as a player.
He resigned as Ajax boss after his side missed out on the Eredivisie title in 2016 to rivals PSV after the final game of the season.
De Boer was then swiftly appointed as Inter Milan boss ahead of the 2016-17 season, but he was sacked in November last year.
He left following a run of four defeats - leaving Inter in 12th place in Serie A - after they also finished bottom of their group in the Europa League.
