Huddersfield favourites to land Leeds striker Chris Wood in £15million summer swoop
Wood is in demand after notching 30 goals for the Whites last season, and new-boys Town are ready to take on top flight rivals
Chris Wood is a £15million target for Premier League new boys Huddersfield.
And Terriers boss David Wagner is the surprise favourite to win a seven-club chase for the Leeds hit-man's signature.
Wood is in demand after notching 30 goals for the Whites last season, and Town are ready to take on top flight rivals Crystal Palace, Swansea, Stoke, West Ham, West Brom and Southampton in the battle to land him.

The New Zealand striker's price tag and wage demands won't frighten off Huddersfield, either, after they pocketed £200million for beating Reading in last month's dramatic Championship play -off final.
Wagner sees Wood,25, as the finisher who can fire the Yorkshire side to safety next term and make sure they cling on to the top flight status it has taken them 45 years to regain.
Wood, who arrived at Elland Road in a £3m switch from Leicester in 2015, still has two years left on contract with Town's bitter local rivals.
But he ended the campaign hugely disappointed by United's failure to win promotion, and then manager Garry Monk's shock decision to quit after just 11 months in charge.
Wood, who is desperate for Premier League football, reacted to Monk's walk-out by declaring: "We've got the foundations, you have to build on it. We can't be tearing those down to start new ones."
Wagner is also planning talks with Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp about signing keeper Danny Ward on loan for a second season, and snapping up Aussie midfielder Aaron Mooy from Manchester City for £12m.
