Barcelona ‘will attempt to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Verratti for £87.8million tomorrow’
Reports in Italy claim the Nou Camp side will try to blow Juve and Chelsea out the water with massive offer
BARCELONA will bid £87.8million for Marco Verratti tomorrow, according to reports.
Italian journalist Paolo Bargiggia claims the Paris Saint-Germain star's agent Donato Di Campli is to meet Barcelona bosses in Milan to talk through a deal.
Italy international Verratti appears to be a prime target for the Nou Camp side and recently installed boss Ernesto Valverde.
But Ligue 1 giants PSG are thought to be digging their heels in over letting the highly regarded midfielder, 24, leaving to European rivals.
The size of the bid from Barcelona can be viewed with some scepticism.
Reports in Spain claimed the side are "aware of the economic limitations" they face in the transfer market.

Paris Saint-Germain are also in a strong bargaining position given that Verratti is signed up until 2021.

Add in the fact Juventus and Chelsea - who have already made a £55m offer - want him too and a path to Barcelona does not seem so clear.
Di Campli has hinted Juventus, beaten in this year's Champions League final, greatly interest his man - but that PSG will do everything to keep him.
He said: "Juventus will certainly do something special in the next transfer window.
"Verratti? There's the will of PSG to keep him at all costs."
