MOHAMED SALAH could become a Liverpool player in the next couple of days.
The Reds are reported to have increased their bid for the ex--Chelsea flop to close to £40million.
They are happy to pay £32.5m, plus an extra £4.4m in add-ons for the Roma winger.
Liverpool have been trying to push through a deal for Egyptian ace Salah since the start of the summer.
It is thought they have agreed wages of £90,000 a week with the player.
But negotiations hit a stumbling block with neither side able to come to an agreement with regards to the fee.

Now in Italy indicate that Roma have given the all-clear.
And in Egypt report that the deal could be announced on Tuesday, with Salah featuring for his country in a Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Morocco on Monday.
Salah, 24, scored 15 goals and delivered 11 assists in Serie A last season...a far better return than two goals in 19 games for Chelsea in 2014 before being loaned to Fiorentina.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate to add the man who cost £12m when he left the Blues to his side having guided the club back to the Champions League.
He is also considering his defensive options after Liverpool had to bite the bullet on a deal for Southampton's Virgil van Dijk after the Saints contacted the Premier League with a tapping-up allegation.
Meanwhile, the Reds were also linked to Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic at the weekend.
