NEWCASTLE UNITED boss Rafa Benitez reportedly wants to bolster his squad with a £8million move for Brentford’s Jota.
The playmaker impressed for the Bees last season and scored 12 times after returning from his loan spell at Eibar in January.
And that form has caught the attention of the Magpies, according to .
Spaniard Jota joined the west London side from Celta Vigo in 2014.
He initially thrived under former boss Mark Warburton but became unsettled due to family reasons.
That led to him being sent out on an 18-month loan to La Liga side Eibar.

But he returned to the capital at the beginning of this year and looked right at home as he helped Brentford to a comfortable mid-table finish.
Benitez is believed to want to add at least five new players to his squad before Newcastle’s return for pre-season training next month.
He is said to want a creative player to share the workload with Jonjo Shelvey.
Mo Diame struggled during his first campaign on Tyneside while Ayoze Perez lacks consistency.
Jota fits the bill of the playmaker Benitez hopes to bring in, although Brentford are planning on offering him a new contract.
Premier League rivals Everton and West Ham are also believed to be monitoring the situation.
