MARCO VERRATTI has reportedly met with Barcelona chiefs in Ibiza to discuss a lucrative summer switch.
The Paris Saint-Germain star has been strongly linked with a world-record £132million move to the Nou Camp.
And Spanish newspaper claims Barcelona are quietly confident of completing a deal after holding talks with Verratti on the party island of Ibiza just yesterday.
The meeting between Verratti, his agent Donato Di Campli and Barca director Javier Bordas was described as “informal”.
And with Verratti already telling PSG he wants to leave, a deal seems to be getting closer.
The Italy international apparently told Bordas that he intends to put even more pressure on boss Unai Emery, who is reluctant to sell after missing out on the Ligue 1 title in his first season.
Verratti would reportedly pocket wages worth £170,000-a-week should he move to Spain.

But the 24-year-old is also wanted by Chelsea and he could yet link up with Antonio Conte, who tried signing the midfielder for Juventus in 2012.
Cesc Fabregas is set to be sold by the Blues following their triumphant Premier League campaign, and Verratti could be the perfect man to partner N’Golo Kante next term.
