Liverpool finally land £35million winger Mohamed Salah from Roma, according to reports
Egyptian sources confirm former Chelsea flop is on his way to Anfield and will wrap up deal following a medical on Tuesday
LIVERPOOL have finally agreed a deal with AS Roma for Egypt international Mohamed Salah.
The former Chelsea winger is heading for Anfield in a £35million deal, according to Egyptian outlet
The player is set to travel to England for a medical on Tuesday to finalise his move.
Salah, 25, has been a top target for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp this summer.
He has just enjoyed his best-ever season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions for Roma despite missing around six weeks through Egypt's run in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Salah was involved in four of Egypt’s five goals with two goals and two assists as he led the Pharaohs to the finals, where they lost 2-1 to Cameroon.
Salah joined Chelsea from Basel in January 2014 but was sent packing on loan to Fiorentina just a year later.
He controversially rejected a return there in favour of Roma in the summer of 2015, eventually making his move to the Italian capital permanent in 2016.
Liverpool saw a bid of £28million turned down earlier this month and were believed to be looking at Sporting Lisbon’s Gelson Martins instead.
But it seems Klopp has bagged his man, who will no doubt look forward to facing Manchester United when he can show Jose Mourinho he was maybe wrong to edge him out of Stamford Bridge.
