Wayne Rooney set to stay with Manchester United after starring in Facebook kit launch of new black away kit
The Red Devils legend had to often settle for a place on the bench under Jose Mourinho, where he made just 15 starts in the Premier League
MANCHESTER UNITED have dropped a huge hint that captain Wayne Rooney will stay after he starred in their kit launch post on Facebook.
The Red Devils all-time top scorer has had to play second fiddle in the side behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and was widely believed to be heading out the Old Trafford door.
Rooney only featured in 25 Premier League fixtures - his lowest total in the entirety of his career, and only started a mere 15 games under Jose Mourinho.
But it appears as though he is set to reprise his role of being a key player for the Europa League winners after modelling United's new black away kit for the 2017/18 campaign.
Fans immediately saw it as a sign their club legend would be prolonging his love affair with the side past the summer, with the first comment simply saying: "Rooney is back."
