Manchester United agree £9.7million deal to sell flop Adnan Januzaj to La Liga side Real Sociedad
MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly agreed a £9.7million deal to sell flop Adnan Januzaj to La Liga side Real Sociedad.
The Belgian winger, 22, is set to call time on his spell at Old Trafford after failing to live up to the hype following his strong Premier League debut in 2013.
After setting tongues wagging under David Moyes for his exciting style of play, Januzaj has faded drastically in recent seasons.
The forward, who has struggled away on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland, is now set to join Sociedad this summer, according to France Football.
Last term, Januzaj turned out 25 times in the Premier League for Moyes' relegated Black Cats - failing to score a single goal.
He did however muster a goal in his one EFL Cup game of 2016-17 - in a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury.
Januzaj has now been told he is not a part of Jose Mourinho's plans for the 2017-18 season and will be let go.
The winger only has one year left on his contract, which allows Real Sociedad to launch a relatively cut-price bid.
The Spanish outfit - formerly under the leadership of Moyes - now only need to agree personal terms with Januzaj.
The forward - who was at one stage subject of a tug-of-war between international sides England, Belgium and Kosovo - will now look to rebuild his career in Spain.
As well as falling out of favour under Louis van Gaal and Mourinho, Januzaj's attitude was called into question after a brief, failed spell in the Bundesliga.
