Gianluigi Donnarumma WILL meet with AC Milan for contract talks after social media disaster, confirms Mino Raiola
A post was uploaded to Italian stopper's Instagram stating negotiations would soon start but Donnarumma later claimed he was hacked
MINO RAIOLA has moved to clear up any confusion about Gianluigi Donnarumma's future following a social media disaster.
A post was uploaded to Donnarumma's Instagram account yesterday stating he will meet with club chiefs to discuss a new contract - but the player later claimed he had been hacked and deleted his account.
Donnarumma - who is currently on Italy Under-21s duty - is wanted by a host of top European clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United
Raiola this morning confirmed: "Tweets between me and [Gianluigi] are tweets of friendship.
"After the Euros we will meet with Milan. Now the national team is important."
Donnarumma's social media post, which was later deleted, read: "I wish to reiterate my absolute love for Milan and its fans. Now all that's in my mind is the national team, with whom I hope to give a gift to all the supporters.
"My promise is that, as soon as the Euros are finished, I will meet the club along with my family and my agent to discuss my renewal."
Donnarumma is seen as the long-term successor to Gianluigi Buffon having burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old.
Gianluigi Donnarumma - the youngest keeper ever to start a match in Serie A
- Born on February 25, 1999 in Castellammare di Stabia a comune on the outskirts of Napoli.
- Donnarumma's talent was first spotted by Napoli as a schoolboy when he joined the club's coaching academy.
- Was signed in a £220,000 deal by AC Milan at the age of 14, and was sent to train with the age group above him.
- The keeper was called into the Milan first team squad for the first time three days before his 16th birthday, when he was an unused sub against Cesena.
- Made his debut in the first team in an pre-season friendly against Real Madrid.
- Donnarumma became the second-youngest keeper ever in Serie A when he made his full debut aged 16 years 242 days against Sassuolo.
- Had established himself as regular first choice goalkeeper at AC Milan before he turned 17.
- Became the youngest player ever to represent Italy when he made his national team debut in a friendly against France on September 1, 2016 aged 17 years 189 days.
Real are interested in the stopper, as are Juventus and United, should David De Gea leave.
Former Milan president Silvio Berlusconi revealed Los Blancos have already made him a staggering £87million offer.
He said: "Put yourself in his shoes.
“He is an 18-year-old kid who has received a sensational £87million offer.
“That is not an easy problem for a kid to deal with.”
