AC Milan contract offer for Manchester United and Real Madrid target Gianluigi Donnarumma remains at £167,000-a-week over five years after U-turn over future

Goalkeeper, 18, had looked set to leave San Siro, but appeared to perform U-turn — however, deal on table remains the same

AC MILAN will NOT increase their offer of £167,000-a-week to keep Gianluigi Donnarumma after the goalkeeper’s apparent change of heart, according to reports.

The 18-year-old is already considered one of the best stoppers on the planet, and was a target for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Rossoneri were obviously determined to keep hold of Donnarumma, but were told he would not be extending his current deal, which expires in the summer of 2018.

However, he performed a U-turn and professed his love for the club, much to the delight of the Milan fans.

Yet, despite how important he is considered to be to their future, report the Serie A giants’ offer remains the same — a five year deal worth £43.35million.

The ambitious Rossoneri have been one of the most active sides in this summer’s transfer window as they look to take advantage of the extra Champions League place on offer in Serie A next season.

Milan have so far signed FIVE players — all of which significantly improve their starting XI — and are closing in on two more.

Defenders Mateo Musacchio and Ricardo Rodriguez arrived from Villarreal and Wolfsburg respectively, while highly-rated midfielder Franck Kessie chose a switch to the San Siro over Chelsea.
