Manchester United vs LA Galaxy: When is Red Devils’ opening pre-season friendly, and what TV channel is it on?

All the latest information ahead of a pre-season friendly between two of David Beckham's former clubs

MANCHESTER UNITED face LA Galaxy later this month in their first pre-season game of the summer.

The MLS side will host United on July 15 at StubHub Center, in California, kicking off the first part of the Red Devils' pre-season tour of America.

When United played LA Galaxy on their pre-season tour, in 2014, fans will fondly remember Van Gaal's team thrashing the side 7-0.

Will it be a similar result this summer for United?

Having confirmed their Champions League place, through winning the Europa League, United are preparing for their 2017-2018 campaign with a packed pre-season schedule.

Jose Mourinho's men will face another team state-side when they move from California to Utah, to play Real Salt Lake on 17 July.

United have five games in America, before the end of July, they will then fly to Oslo and then conclude their pre-season tour in Dublin in August.

What TV channel is Manchester United vs LA Galaxy on?

BT Sport are televising the game in the UK, but it will require an early start for United fans.

It will be broadcast live on ESPN in the US.

What time is kick-off for Manchester United vs LA Galaxy?

The time difference will mean the LA Galaxy game will be televised in the early hours of July 16.

The friendly will be broadcast at 3am on Sunday, 16 July (7pm on Saturday 15, local time).

United's next fixture, against Real Salt Lake, will be televised at 3am on Tuesday, 18 July.

The Devils will then play their Manchester rivals on Friday ,21 July at the NRG stadium in Texas, before playing Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup.

On Sunday, 23 July, Manchester United will return to California to play Real Madrid, at the Levi stadium, and will face Barcelona just three days later at the FedEx Field stadium in Maryland.

Returning to Europe, United will play Valerenga in Oslo on Sunday, 30 July.

They complete their pre-season tour in the Emerald Isle against Sampdoria, at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, on Wednesday, 2 August.
