CHELSEA will be made to fight for their top three defensive targets this summer.
The Blues are chasing a number of stars as they look to make a successful defence of their title next season.
But the claims things won’t be simple for Antonio Conte, who is looking to pounce for the Serie A-based trio.
First up is Roma star Antonio Rudiger, who played a key role in Germany’s Confederations Cup win.
The centre-back is worth around £34million but Chelsea will now have to battle rivals Manchester City for his signature.
Meanwhile, left-back Alex Sandro has been offered a lucrative new contract to snub a Stamford Bridge switch and stick with Juventus instead.
The Brazilian is regarded as one of the best wide-men in world football and would set a new club record transfer fee should he sign for the Blues.
However, Juve are keen to keep Sandro and continue to woo him towards staying in Italy.
Chelsea transfer news
The ace’s Turin teammate Leonardo Bonucci is the final defender who could end up snubbing Chelsea.
The superstar has long been tipped to reunite with Conte in west London.
But Spanish giants Barcelona have entered the running and Bonucci may favour their style of play over Chelsea’s counter-attacking style.
