Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho snaps up 16-year-old Charlton wonderkid Largie Ramazani
Northern Ireland international Ethan Galbraith and PSG'S Aliou Traore thought to be two other youthful additions for Red Devils
MANCHESTER UNITED have swooped to land Charlton whizkid Largie Ramazani on a schoolboy contract.
The 16-year-old is believed to be one of five United youth signings.
Northern Ireland international Ethan Galbraith and Aliou Traore from Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be two other additions.
Ramazani was born in Burundi but started as a youth footballer at Anderlecht in Belgium before moving to Charlton to continue his development.
Former United striker Andy Cole welcomed the new scholars as they signed their forms at Carrington on Sunday.
Cole, who has suffered health issues in the last couple of years, posed with the players as they signed their scholarships with Under-18s coach Kieran McKenna.
McKenna led his age group charges to second in the Premier League U18 North behind Manchester City last season.
A progressive campaign was only undermined by a shock first round exit from the FA Youth Cup against Southampton.
In 2016/17 United took on eight first-year scholars in Angel Gomes, Aidan Barlow, Lee O'Connor, Luca Ercolani, George Tanner, Harry Spratt, Max Dunne and Jake Barrett.
Meanwhile, Phil Jones has told that everyone is looking forward to the club's forthcoming pre-season tour of the United States.
There are games against Barcelona, Manchester City and Real Madrid amongst others, and Jones said: "Of course, they’re big names and they have big-name players in their sides.
"We’ve often played against these kinds of teams in pre-season and it's exciting for the fans in the States to come to the games.
"It’s also good for some of the young players who travel with us to experience matches like that.
"You can take a lot of positives from pre-season and look forward to the start of the season."
