Timothy Weah — son of 1995 Ballon d’Or-winner George Weah — signs first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain
USA Under-17 international is billed as one of country's many best prospects and could follow in legendary father's footsteps

TIMOTHY WEAH, son of the legendary George, has signed his first professional contract — with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 17-year-old has been starring for the Ligue 1 giants’ youth side, netting a hat-trick in an 8-1 victory over Ludogorets on in the Uefa Youth League debut.
But has now put pen-to-paper for a full-time deal which will run until 2020.
He told : "I am very proud to continue my adventure with PSG by signing this professional contract.
"I am at a great club and I cannot wait to continue to progress towards my goal of one day playing for the senior side."
Timothy’s father George is one of the best players in the 1990s, having won the Ballon d’Or in 1995.
He is the only African winner.
However, despite representing Liberia, Weah’s son was born in New York and is a USA youth international, having played at the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship in Panama.

And Timothy is one of a number of bright prospects to emerge from the North American country.
He and Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic are being billed as real stars for the future.
George Weah moved to Europe in 1988, when signed by Arsene Wenger at Monaco.
He then made the switch to PSG four years later and was the Champions League top goal scorer in 1994-95 before joining AC Milan.
It was with the Rossoneri where he won the Ballon d’Or.
Weah later played for Chelsea and Manchester City in the Premier League before retiring and pursuing politics in his native Liberia.
